The formation of the necropolis is associated with the place of death in 1748 of the Khan of the Younger Zhuz Abulkhair in an unequal battle with the Sultan of the Middle Zhuz Barak. At the burial site, a huge necropolis was formed, which later became known as Khan Molasy.
