Historical information: Derbisali Kigylykuly – a famous batyr, saint, one of the famous figures of the Younger Zhuz of the first half of the 19th century, one of the organizers of the 1822-1824 uprising. headed by Zholaman Tilenshiuly., which covered the valleys of the Uil and Kiil rivers. Derbisali batyr is one of the most famous batyrs, whose name was widespread among the people. After his death, his name was preserved in the national memory as the name of a saint. At the end of December 1822, Derbisali with a group of biys and batyrs, headed by Zholaman, put his seal on a letter with a request to return the land between the Urals and Ilek, and to release the Sultan of Aryngazy and Zhusupa Syrymuly, who were held hostage by Russia. This letter was joined by well-known figures of the Younger Zhuz and the batyrs Suinkar from the Adai clan, Barak and Asau from the Shomyshty Tabyn, Baigan.
Description and characteristics of the monument: Derbisali batyr was buried in the Suykbulak locality, 17 km southeast of the village of Zharsai, Khobda region. Until now, people come to his grave to ask for help in curing diseases, spend the night, and in the old days they even drove sick cattle. His grave is popularly considered one of the holy places.
