Historical information: Abubakir (Kerderi) Borankululy (1861-1903), poet. Buried in the Zhabasai burial ground. Due to the fact that he was a native of the Kerdera clan of the Zhetiru tribes of the Younger Zhuz, among the people he had the nickname “Kerderi Abubakir”. His grandfather – Taran, from his descendants there were many artists. His own father Borankul was a craftsman and a person who healed people. He made saddles, did carpentry and carpentry, worked tirelessly, for which his daughters-in-law called him “Shokan”. And among the people he is better known by this name, so some researchers believe that Abubakira is the son of Shokan.Abubakir studied with the aul mullah, then finished school, madrasah in Orenburg, Troitsk. In Tuztobe, Uralsk, Aktobe, Orsk, Orenburg he taught children, was devout and “followed the path of Sharia.” Abubakir, who was distinguished by literacy, liveliness, eloquence, who respected the art of poetry, worked for several years alongside the akims as a secretary. His poets, zhyrau, knew him well in the Saryarka, southern and western regions of Kazakhstan. His works were published in 1902, 1905, twice under the title “Kazakh literature, as well as the words of Mullah Abubakir.” Poems and meditations spread widely throughout the country. His works are published in the form of poems, reflections, letters-poems, dedications, aitys, shezhire-epics. In his works, feeling the spirit of the era, he reflected on his era, man, religion, art, science, customs and traditions, morality, people’s behavior, skills and abilities, he praised the life and position of our people. Poems, meditations were published in the collections “We sing for three centuries” (1965), “We sing for five centuries” (1985, 1989). A personal collection called “Kazagym” was published in 1993.
