Location: Aktobe region, Aktobe city, it is located 887 meters to the east – south – east from Kurashasay village.
Description of monument: Monument is made of full granite stone. It consists of three parts: base, pedestal and stone symbol. There is an inscription: «Бұл жерде 1785 жылы 21 қыркүйекте Қазақстанның батыс аймағын мекен еткен елдің билері, батырлары, ру басы ақсақалдары жиылып, қазақ тарихында тұңғыш рет «Халық кеңесі» деп аталған құрылтай өткізді. Хандық биіліктің дағдарысқа ұшырауына байланысты, ел басқарудың далалық демократияның негізінде жаңа үлгі ұсына білген бабаларға тағзым! Риза ұрпақ атынан. Ақтөбе облысының әкімдігі» on the granite slab installed on the stone symbol.
Total height with monument base is – 2,90 meters. Dimension of base – 0,75 х 1,18 m, height – 0,110 m. Size of the pedestal – 0,60 х 0,70 m, height – 0,45 m. Size of monument itself is – 0,25 х 0,60 m.
Historical note: Syrym Datuly (1753 – 1802) is a famous – batyr, distinguished leader of the rebellion of the Kazakhs of Younger zhuz, who fought against native policy of Russian tsar’s government. He was originated from Baybakty tribe, Baiuly of Younger zhuz. At an early age he became famous and known as «Bala bi» owing to his intuitive mind and fairness.
The prime reason of national-liberation rebellion was oppression of Kazakh people, unrestraint of Ural Kozakdom and policy of tsar’s government.
According to data of Ch.Valikhanov Institute of history and ethnology it was confirmed that the first Kurultay «Халық кеңесі» led by batyr, Syrym Datuly was held in 1785 on the Zhinishke river, in the western part of Aktobe city.
