Name: “Zhapak tamy” Mausoleum

Location: Aktobe region, Irgiz district, 7 km to the east – south – east from village Zhaisanbay

Description of monument: Foreside and entrance to the round grave are faced to south-west. Diameter of exterior circle is – 8 meters. Foreside divides the round building  into equal parts and it has 4 small relief hollows. Towers – domes face outside as an altar. There are pedestals like the scene in the inner part of the turbes over four underground graves. The height of the grave is – 7,1 meters.

Historical note: A monument  describes one of the rare types of two-chamber mausoleums of the Western Kazakhstan. Monument was defined by the expedition of NIPI «Kazrestavratsiya» of the Ministry of Culture of Kazkah SSR in 1980. It was examined in order to certify the Social Service Center for protecting monuments of history and culture of the republic in 1984. (leader: S.I. Adzhigaliev)
