Historical information: Zhalantos batyr Seitkululy (1576-1656) was a Kazakh batyr, statesman and commander. He was the emir of Samarkand city. At the age of 17 he was a bei of alimuly generation, and at the age of 36 he became the emir of Samarkand. He defeated the Dzungar Khan Batur, who in 1640 attacked the Kazakhs and Central Asia. In 1643 he with a 20-thousand army from Samarkand came to join Zhangir Khan, who fought against the Dzungars invading Zhetysu, and defeated the invaders.

Monument description: The monument shows Zhalantos batyr on a horse, holding a mace in his right hand. The sculpture artfully depicts the horse harness and armor of the hero. The pedestal is built of concrete and lined with granite. The sculpture is cast in bronze, its height is 5.15 meters.
