Monument-obelisk to the heroes of the novel “Kan men ter”

The uniqueness of the monument to the heroes of the trilogy of Abdizhamil Nurpeisov “blood and sweat” lies in the fact that it is the first sculpture in the country dedicated to the heroes of a literary work. In addition, the monument was erected in the homeland of the author of the novel during his lifetime in 2008. The monument was erected by the sculptor Erik Zhumbayev. The sculptural composition represents the island of Beloran and a boat containing seven characters from the book and a dog. The figures are made of bronze, the island-pedestal is made of natural sea wave limestone. The height of the monument is about 5 meters. The Blood and Sweat Trilogy has been translated into Russian, French, Spanish, Czech, Romanian and Turkish. For this work in 1974 the author received the USSR State Prize. The monument is located on the waterfront boulevard.
