Building of the Headquarters Where the Personnel of the 101st Separate Rifle Brigade Were Stationed and Formed
Historical Background
This building is closely connected with the military history of Aktobe during the Great Patriotic War. Built in 1936, it became one of the places where, in November and December 1941, the personnel of the 101st Separate Rifle Brigade were stationed and formed.
The 101st Separate Rifle Brigade was one of the military units formed in Aktobe during the difficult early period of the war. Its formation was part of the region’s mobilisation work, connected with preparing personnel and sending servicemen to the front. The building has been preserved as a direct historical witness to these events.

Description of the Monument
The building has three floors. To the left of the entrance, there are two marble memorial plaques measuring 30 by 50 cm. The inscriptions are provided in Kazakh and Russian.
The Kazakh plaque reads: “Бұл үйде 1941 ж. ноябрь-декабрь айларында 101 дербес атқыштар бригадасы ұйымдастырылды.”
The Russian plaque reads: “В этом здании в ноябре-декабре 1941 г. формировалась 101 отдельная стрелковая бригада.”
The architectural appearance of the building and the memorial plaques show that this is not only an active educational institution, but also an important site preserving the wartime memory of Aktobe.
